Sasquatch - Day 2

Ok, you know the old saying, "Time flies when you're having fun"? Time, it did fly....and the blog languished. The festival was just that, festive. It was soooo much fun. The venue is just amazing. If you've never gone to a show at the Gorge Amphitheater, you must make the trek. It is absolutely worth it. Here's just one view:

Kristen and I were stricken useless by the heat, which works out when you're simply lying about waiting for bands to entertain you. We saw so many great bands like the Decemberists, Devotchka, M. Ward, Bon Iver (my favorite!) and Kings of Leon...just to name a few.

So many wacky people, it's hard to even describe but there was a very intoxicated gentleman in a kilt who fell and busted up his face right by us...THAT was festive.

Sasquatch - Day 1.5

Ok, I try hard not to judge or be snooty but the clientèle at this particular Travelodge is LESS than respectful of my need to sleep.

There was all manner of tom foolery going on last night until well into the early morning and it all just had to happen above OUR room. Now, lest you think I'm being sly or cheeky - - it was not THAT kind of tom foolery. Just people slamming doors, jumping about, running up and down the clangy metal stairs. I'm being told by the infamous "that's not how you spell it, idiot" red line in Firefox that clangy isn't a word...it is now - - it is now.

Anyhoo...besides that small inconvenience, our evening was fun. We moseyed on over to the neighboring metropolis of Moses Lake and found a lakeside restaurant with outdoor seating. It was called the "Lakeside Bar and Grill". We sat out on the patio and watched the sun go down over the lake. It was actually quite peaceful and beautiful...except for the cat fight that ensued in the bar. Ah...lake folk are colorful. :)

Sasquatch Day One!

So, here we are...in Ephrata, WA. Look it up...it's a town on either side of a highway. We are at the Travelodge..jealous? Yes, I know you are.

Here are a few pics from our room. I made Kristen put on a hat and take her own picture in the mirror. She did not do it of her own accord...forced, I tell you...she was FORCED!

Wayne's Graduation!

Can I just say...WOOHOOOO!!!! Wayne's going to graduate in a little over a month. We are so proud. If you want to join us is in saying "GOOD JOB, WAYNER!", come to his grad party!
